SUMMER READING Program 2019
Library Reading Programs encourage children and teens to practice reading and literacy skills, which can help maintain proficiency and counter the summer slide of students who do not read during the summer.
Thank you for signing up for the lovington public library's summer reading program. starting june 3rd and ending july 18th. our theme this year is
"a universe of stories"
here you'll find a schedule of the programs we are having this summer, an explanation of how to participate in the reading program, as well as how our prizes are set up.

IT'S AS EASY AS 1, 2, 3!
READ SOMETHING! ANYTHING! ANYWHERE, FROM BOOKS, TO NEWSPAPERS, AND EVEN CEREAL BOXES!
FILL OUT A LOG!
PUT YOUR NAME AND A DATE ON A LOG SHEET
FOR EVERY 15 MINUTES YOU READ MARK OFF A PLANET ON YOUR READING LOG. WHEN YOU HAVE MARKED OFF ALL 4 PLANETS, TURN IT IN.
EACH LOG IS WORTH 1 HOUR.
(1 LOG = 1 HR. OF READING)
EVERY LOG YOU TURN IN WILL GO TOWARDS THE GRAND PRIZE DRAWING!
you may turn in several logs per day however, activities and prizes are limited to 1 person per day.
every monday we will have a drawing for a prize! one winner will be drawn from all the logs that were turned in the previous week.
