This Summer Reading Program will consist of the following:
This Summer Reading Program will consist of the following:
- Children can be signed up in person. Each child will receive a registration goodie bag.
- They will read books and fill out a reading log for every 1 hour they read or are read to.
- The logs will be returned to library where they will be entered in for a weekly prize and for the grand prize at the end of Summer Reading.
- For each of the 6 weeks the child is able to roll a dice and complete the craft or activity they land on.
- At the end of the program we will announce our grand prize winners who turned in the most reading logs for each age group.
Library Reading Programs encourage children and teens to practice reading and literacy skills, which can help maintain proficiency and counter the summer slide of students who do not read during the summer.
